Our Mission:
The University of British Columbia ThunderBikes Team is dedicated to designing and racing vehicles in order to demonstrate the performance capability of sustainable transportation while encouraging its use as daily transport.
Our Vision:
To encourage people to use bikes as their primary method of transportation.
Our goal for this project is to create a high performance electric racing motorcyle and compete at New Jersey Motorsports Park in the summer of 2022
Learning and applying skills and principles of e-bike design by creating UBC Preseident Santa Ono's personal e-bike
The scope of this project is to build custom, high performance electric bikes. The Lost sierra ebike festival is an opportunity to compete with other established members in the industry. The plan is to build an MK model to compete in throttle class and TS to compete in pedal assist class.
The aim of this project is to encourage University students to use bikes as their primary method of transportation, by using pedal assistive systems to break down barriers to biking. Using the facilities already present at University and with the guidance from our group we hope to help bring more electric bikes to campus.
